Raiders’ Defensive End Charles Snowden Arrested on DUI Charge
December 12 – Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden was arrested earlier this week on charges of driving under the influence. The incident occurred after police responded to reports of a “suspicious vehicle,” leading to Snowden’s booking at the Clark County Detention Center early Tuesday morning.
The 26-year-old was charged with misdemeanor DUI as a first-time offender and was released without bond on Wednesday. His attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, issued a statement on Thursday, stating, “Mr. Snowden will be entering a not guilty plea, and we will respond in court, which is the appropriate forum.”
Snowden, in his debut season with the Raiders, has been a regular contributor to the team’s defense. He has played in all 13 games, starting in seven, and has recorded 30 tackles, six quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks for the Raiders, who currently hold a 2-11 record.
An undrafted player out of the University of Virginia in 2021, Snowden initially joined the NFL with the Chicago Bears, where he appeared in two games. He later spent time on the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 and the Raiders in 2023 before earning his current roster spot.
