Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic Lead 2025 NBA All-Star Fan Voting
The NBA has released the first fan returns for the 2025 NBA All-Star voting, with Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the Western and Eastern Conferences, respectively. The announcement came on Thursday, highlighting the initial favorites for the midseason classic.
Antetokounmpo, the top vote-getter overall, has amassed an impressive 1.71 million votes, while Jokic follows closely with 1.42 million votes. They are joined by Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who leads all Western guards, and Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, the top vote-getter among Eastern guards.
Fan voting accounts for 50% of the decision to determine the starters for the All-Star Game, which will be held on February 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The remaining votes are split equally between current NBA players and a media panel, each contributing 25%.
The NBA also announced that Friday will mark the next “3-for-1 Day,” during which each fan vote will count triple. The next update on fan voting will be provided on January 9.
Among other notable players, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James ranks third in the Western Conference frontcourt with 1.17 million votes. Additional players surpassing the 1-million vote mark include Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks), and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The fan vote sets the stage for a thrilling All-Star Game, showcasing the NBA’s biggest stars as selected by their most passionate supporters.
