LIV Golf Leaders Confident About Future Growth and Stability
LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil and Bryson DeChambeau expressed strong confidence in the trajectory of the league while addressing reporters on Wednesday ahead of the LIV Golf Hong Kong event. With a series of major deals and increased global interest, both figures believe the breakaway circuit is heading toward long-term success.
LIV Golf’s Strong Momentum
O’Neil, who took over as CEO just two months ago, highlighted the progress LIV Golf has made in a short span. He pointed to landmark television deals with FOX in the U.S. and ITV in the UK, as well as unprecedented sponsorship interest, as signs of a thriving business model.
“I’ve seen nothing but momentum,” O’Neil said. “From major TV deals to new marketing partners, LIV is reaching new heights. We’re having a great time, and life is pretty good.”
Bryson DeChambeau Puts PGA Return Rumors to Rest
DeChambeau, the reigning U.S. Open champion, made it clear that he remains fully committed to LIV Golf, dismissing speculation that he might return to the PGA Tour.
“I’m very excited about the future of LIV Golf,” said DeChambeau. “As captain of the Crushers, I want to build a lasting legacy that impacts millions of golfers worldwide. That should tell you everything you need to know.”
His comments come amid ongoing discussions between the PGA Tour and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) regarding a possible alliance to unify men’s professional golf. The PGA Tour’s top officials, including Jay Monahan, Tiger Woods, and Adam Scott, recently met with Saudi businessman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and former U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House to explore collaboration options.
LIV Golf’s Future Vision
When asked where he sees LIV Golf in the next six years, DeChambeau predicted exponential growth.
“LIV Golf is going to continue growing at an incredible pace for years to come,” he stated. “We aren’t going anywhere.”
Phil Mickelson Sees Stronger Support and Sponsorship Growth
Veteran golfer Phil Mickelson, an early advocate for LIV Golf, echoed similar sentiments about the league’s expansion.
“The momentum shift we’re seeing is remarkable,” Mickelson said. “Sponsor interest—both at the league level and individual team level—is at an all-time high. Fan support in new regions continues to grow, and the players are working together to promote the game in a special way.”
With global reach increasing, sponsorship and media partnerships expanding, and top players doubling down on their commitment, LIV Golf is positioning itself as a lasting force in the world of professional golf.
