Cricket West Indies Announces Squad for CG United ODI Series Against Bangladesh

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) has unveiled the 15-man squad for the much-anticipated West Indies Men’s CG United One Day International (ODI) home series against Bangladesh. The series, dubbed the “West Indies Home for Christmas”, will feature three matches at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts & Nevis, from December 8 to December 12, 2024.

Changes in the Squad

The squad features two changes from the team that triumphed over England 2-1 in “The Rivalry” series. All-rounder Justin Greaves and wicketkeeper-batter Amir Jangoo have been included, replacing Hayden Walsh Jr. and Jewel Andrew.

Jewel Andrew will be traveling to India during this period to attend a specialized batting camp at the Chennai Academy, focusing on improving skills against spin.

Justin Greaves earned his recall to the national team following stellar performances in the CG United Super50 Cup, where he achieved an unprecedented three consecutive List A centuries. Additionally, he impressed with a maiden Test century against Bangladesh.

Amir Jangoo, the leading scorer in the Super50 season, amassed 446 runs in seven innings at an average of 89.20, earning him a well-deserved spot in the ODI squad.

Focus on Building Momentum
