Saudi club Al Qadsiah sign Brazilian teen Gabriel Carvalho

Saudi Pro League’s Al Qadsiah Sign Brazilian Teen Gabriel Carvalho

Al Qadsiah, a rising force in the Saudi Pro League, has announced the signing of 17-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Gabriel Carvalho from Internacional. The club confirmed the transfer on Thursday, marking another significant acquisition for the league, which now features global stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Carvalho, who has been with Internacional since the age of nine, will remain with the Brazilian club until August 2025 when he officially joins Al Qadsiah during the summer transfer window. The delay aligns with FIFA regulations requiring players to be 18 before transferring internationally.

“Gabriel Carvalho signed for Al Qadsiah. He will join in August during the summer transfer window,” the club stated on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. Al Qadsiah, currently third in the league, recently earned their Pro League spot by clinching the second-tier title last season.

Internacional also confirmed the transfer, noting that negotiations were finalized on December 30. Carvalho’s move underscores his growth and potential, having contributed one goal and three assists across 26 games in the 2024 season.

Though the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, Carvalho’s transfer is viewed as a strategic investment by Al Qadsiah to build a stronger squad capable of competing at the highest levels in the Saudi Pro League.

As the young talent prepares to join Al Qadsiah, both clubs expressed optimism for his future, with fans eagerly anticipating his impact on the Saudi football scene.
