Chicago White Sox Sign RHP Bryse Wilson to One-Year Deal

December 18 – The Chicago White Sox have finalized a one-year contract with free-agent right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson. The deal is valued at $1.05 million, solidifying Wilson’s place in the team’s bullpen for the 2024 MLB season.

Wilson, 26, showcased versatility during the 2023 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, appearing in 34 games, including nine starts. He posted a 5-4 record with a solid 4.04 ERA across 94 innings pitched. His performance demonstrated his ability to contribute both as a starter and a reliever, making him a valuable addition to the White Sox pitching staff.

Over his MLB career, Wilson has accumulated a 20-21 record with a 4.61 ERA across 143 games, including 52 starts. In addition to his starting experience, he has proven himself as a reliable bullpen arm, recording four career saves. Wilson began his career with the Atlanta Braves (2018-2021), where he played a role in their pitching rotation before moving on to the Pittsburgh Pirates (2021-2022) and then the Brewers in 2023.

The White Sox hope Wilson’s experience and flexibility will strengthen their pitching depth as they look to bounce back in the upcoming season.
